Theatres on the Bay - Singapore
Tourist boats make their way up the Singapore river from Clarke key taking in the magnificent Singapore Skyline and Esplanade Theatre. Manicured Bougainvillaea can be seen in full bloom on Esplanade Drive.
This bronze statue is a depiction of days gone by where young boys would swing from trees and jump naked into the Singapore river.
Boys By The River
This bronze sculpture depicts days gone by where the River was the lifeline of the city and it was not uncommon to see young boys playing naked by the river. Times have changed but we can still see two young lads enjoying a game of chase by the river.
Singapore has a very efficient transport network and has a world class taxi service. Todays modern cabs replace the iconic fleets of Yellow Toyota Crowns and the old style rickshaws of days gone by

The Merlion Cub
This baby Merlion stands behind its larger counter part at Merlion Park on the Marina and is a popular spot for visitors wishing to get a good shot of Singapores famous icon.
The two Merlions back to back, The larger Merlion is the original statue in its new location having been moved after the completion of the Esplanade Bridge in 1997 blocked its view from Marina Bay. The Merlion is a symbol of Singapores original name 'Singapura' meaning 'Lion City'

As the water and light show takes place on Marina Bay, The CBD puts on its own light show as core financial and commercial buildings reflect their bright lights across the Marina. The Fullerton Hotel glistens on the right hand side where visitors dine and walk along Boat Quay.
